Football

I'm a sports girl. Baseball is my first love. The Red Sox are my obsession. The Pirates are a sentimental favorite.
Football is a close second to baseball. I grew up in Steelers country as a Cowboys fan. My entire family are Steelers fans. I even married a Steelers fan. He's a bigger Steelers fan than almost anyone I've ever met! For some reason when I was 3 or 4, I picked the Cowboys and followed them through thick and thin. I still love Troy Aikman. I was really pissed at how they let him go and I boycotted them that season. I cried when he got inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Now, the Steelers and the Cowboys are struggling. I love Ben Roethlisberger. He's a huge bear of a guy. I was so mad at him for being dumb enough to ride his motorcycle without a helmet. Now he's having a pretty tough season. Come on Ben! The Steelers need ya! As for the 'boys, I can't stand TO. The only other Cowboy I didn't like while he played for us is Michael Irvin. That man makes my skin crawl and I know he was instrumental in bringing TO to the 'boys. I'm also not sure about Tony Romo replacing Drew B. Romo is more mobile, but Drew B has more experience. Maybe Romo and TO will have a better chemistry. Lord knows he and Drew aren't clicking.
I also enjoy the Colts mainly because of Peyton Manning. I adore him. Everything I read about the Manning family just solidifies it for me. I love Eli too, but as a Giant, I cannot root for him! :) I try to not root against the Steelers, but when they play the Colts, I have a tough time of it.
