Grumpy Old Men

A mini marathon! Grumpy Old Men and now Grumpier Old Men...these 2 movies are sure to put a smile on my face. I LOVE them! The only sad part is that Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon are dead. :( They had great chemistry!

Awesome job boys! You got me the 7 runs I predicited yesterday. Unfortunately, those pesky Yanks keep putting up a fight. I love our grit and determination. These boys remind me a little of 2004...Never give up...Find a way to win. It's wonderful to see.
Beckett pitched pretty well after a shaky start. Okajima is impressing the crap out of me. Coco FINALLY did something productive at the plate. Papi drilled another. Cora shows he's a doer. And Tek. Well, Tek brings it when we play the MFYs. He is the Captain and he earns that C. Love him.
Schill was pretty shaky and has me worried. Get it together buddy.

The Wedding

OK, some of y'all may know my baby brother is getting married in August...OUTSIDE! ACK! LOL

We had to have the bridesmaids dresses ordered today...Well, I've had a craptacular week and hadn't thought about it much. I drove to Florence today to help them with their inventory and had to be there at 6am, which meant leaving at 5 am, which meant getting up by 4:30. Long story short, I'm a real bitch today. My mom calls and tells me my future sis in law thinks I'm ignoring her. I'm really not, I've been busy with work and by the time I get off, that store is closed. Well, my mom gets on my case and I warned her I was foul and she didn't let up and I went off...she hung up. I shouldn't have taken it out on her...I've got a lot going on and it just seems like I have to do what I can for everyone else, but no one ever asks me if I need anything. Being the stable one certainly has it's drawbacks.

I just bought my plane ticket to go surprise my daddy for his 60th b-day!! Hooray!! It was super cheap too! One day I'm going to treat myself and fly first class. LOL

60th Birthdays

My stepmom turns 60 in a little over a week. My Dad turns 60 on June 1 and my stepdad turns 60 in October. Yikes!!
I need to get my stepmom something nice. She's a delightful individual. I'm flying up to surprise my Dad for his birthday, so that's pretty much his gift. :) And I still have plenty of time to think of something smashing for my stepdad. He's so easy to please, but I want to knock his socks off.

Good Things

1. My nana is doing better! Yeah!!
2. I reconnected with a cousin who I haven't talked to in over 8 years.
3. My mom is finally having her back surgery...Scary, but I have faith she'll come through with flying colors.
4. The Sox are kicking some booty!! Beckett is 3-0!!!!!!!! How freaking awesome! The boys are playing like they want to win in October...keep it up gentlemen.
5. The Yankees are NOT kicking booty and Jeter has 6 errors so far on the season. It warms my heart. :)
6. MLB Extra Innings is fan freakin tastic!!!!

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a safe and blessed Easter.

I spent much of the day at the hospital visiting my gradmother. Nana has been in and out of the hospital for the past 3 months and they can't figure out what's really wrong. She's going downhill pretty fast and it makes me so sad. It's breaking my mom's heart. *sigh* Easter is a time for miracles.

Hooray! Good news for cable customers, MLB has come to an agreement with the cable providers to carry the Extra Innings package. I get to see my beloved Sox on my new plasma HDTV!!!!!!!! Josh and Tek in High Def! WooHoo!
