Daddy's Little Girl

I'll be 33 in 3 weeks and I am still Daddy's Little Girl. I looked online at Cheap Tickets last night and looked up tickets for this coming weekend. I found some great fares, but I have absolutely no extra money. I called up my dad and asked/suggested that for my birthday he and my stepmom buy me a plane ticket. He was happy to do it. I am so lucky. I really, really need this time away. My dh is in Charlotte and Lola is fine with the people who keep her while I'm gone so I have no guilt! I get to be taken care of all weekend long. My dad and stepmom will take me shopping and out to dinner and I get to hang out with my family. I'll get to see my best friend and my godson too. :)
This coming weekend is my godson Logan's birthday and I really wanted to go to his party. My best friend is fantastic and knows what's going on now, so she told me not to worry if I had to miss it this year. He's going to be 2 and I just can't wait to see him. My nephew Cameron's birthday is on the 9th so I'll get to see him too. He's an absolute doll. I adore him. He loves his Aunt Mel too! I love to get down and dirty while playing with him so he loves that. I got an email from him last week that was a bunch of x's and o's. He'll be 5 so he can't write, but my stepmom showed him how to do the x's and o's and what they mean. I'll go up on Saturday and come home on Tuesday and I have a lot to pack in. Logan's party is Sunday and I'll visit my Gram and Pap too. They're my stepmom's parents, but they treat me like one of their own and I love them as if they were blood.
I am so excited! I have a lot to do before this weekend!
